This is my first serious attempt at a body recomp. I'm getting married in July and decided it was time to tighten things up. I started lifting 3x/week with my old highschool buddies in early February. We are focusing on compound lifts and progressive overload, starting each session with bench press and finishing with pushups. I'm eating at a 500cal daily deficit, no supplements (in this economy?) just focusing on proteins, healthy fats, and vegetables.

Starting out, I was unable to do a single pushup and could bench press just the bar for a few reps. Today I can do about 30 pushups and just hit a bench PR of 155lbs.

I'm feeling stronger, sleeping better, and am generally in a better mood. The gym bug has bitten me and I feel motivated and excited to work out every time 😊
