I'm 57, started this journey in January with my regular mammogram. One week later I was in for a second one. It's not the first time that's happened, dense breast tissue. Calcifications were viewed and the radiologist spots a linear pattern. Says, "i can't unsee what I've seen." After needle biopsies, an ADH diagnosis followed up with an excision biopsy, I got a diagnosis of DCIS grade3, hormone negative breast cancer.

Feeling like maybe I dodged a bullet, so grateful. However i still have three appointments lined up now that I'm high risk. One for genetics testing, another with a Radiant Oncologist and another with a Medical Oncologist.

Anything i should expect? Questions i should ask?
