My MH claim just moved from step 5 to 7 today and then I saw a popup in my app that says "Request for evidence: Unemployability - 21-8940 needed and 4192(s) requested."

I looked this up and found old discussions for the most part, or things unrelated. Maybe I was looking in the wrong places, but I'm asking here for better clarification since there's lots of smart folks around.

Despite the old discussions, I read of people sharing they got reduced after applying for TDIU this way because the C&P pointed to a lower rating than what they had. I'd love to apply for TDIU, because I believe I qualify, and it would lift a TON of weight off my shoulders and let me focus on getting out of school to just focus on myself for once and stabilize... But the ebbs and flows of severe MH problems have made it draining after years, and I can't seem to get proper accommodations for my issues, doctors tell me to screw off to my therapist, therapist is too scared to overreach with accommodations, and it's an endless loop. I'd have gotten another therapist by now if they weren't incredible outside of that one issue. It's a mess of re-taking classes and scathing my GPA.

However, I am scared to potentially have to do another C&P and [maybe] get reduced, because while I'm not rated, I suspect it'll be done very soon and at a 50-70% rating based off DBQ, just had the MH C&P a few weeks ago. I don't want to risk messing up something good, because we all know C&P's are, in part, like rolling a pair of dice and hoping for all odds or all evens. Very stressful.
