I’m posting here to ask for some help or guidance for a friend of mine in Ahmedabad.
He comes from a very financially struggling family. His father is a farmer, and their total yearly family income is only around ₹40,000. To support my friend’s education, his family has even kept their land on collateral for a loan, and they are barely able to make ends meet.
Recently, my friend’s phone stopped working completely, and he currently doesn’t have any device. This is making it very difficult for him to stay connected for studies, communication, and basic opportunities.
I wanted to ask if anyone here could help in any of these ways:
- If you have an old unused smartphone that still works and you’re willing to donate
- Suggestions for places in Ahmedabad where he might get a very low-cost or refurbished phone
- Any NGOs or initiatives that provide support like this
We’re not looking for anything fancy, just a basic working smartphone.
