I am newer to Anchorage , when I lived in Fairbanks I would do maintenance on my own vehicles at my dad’s house who had a garage. I unfortunately don’t have that luxury anymore and need some recommendations. My wife’s 2016 Kia forte needs new front breaks as well as an oil change. The Kia dealership quoted me $600! That feels absolutely insane for something I could do for like $250 if I had a garage, any reliable honest local mechanic shops to recommend or have parts truly become that expensive?
