Can someone clarify grounding?

Is there a bulletproof video that breaks down Earth grounding? There’s so much conflicting information, and the mismatch of information between running a system ground and an earth grounding is everywhere. Each video I find on YouTube is riddled with comments about how terrible and dangerous the advice is.

Was wondering if the hivemind of reddit could filter the two separately, and video tutorials are always welcomed.

I’m designing a solar powered generator for my home. I’m starting small using a hybrid inverter and battery I can upscale (along with my solar array obviously) when I want to go through with putting in a transfer switch and being able to run my entire house directly through the generator tied to the grid. I’m using the hand truck method currently for my inverter and battery to keep it non-permanent. I’m also using a 70 dollar power supply on said hand truck as outlets.

My fridge in my small kitchen is located in an awkward spot, and I could hypothetically run my entire living room/kitchen at once if In one areas between the kitchen and living room, except my fridge would need a 20-25 foot power cord. I know those beefy 8awg extension cords exist, but I’m looking more towards multi-day use, not just a few hours while under supervision.

Is there any reason not to replace the cord?
