My kid (lvl 1 audhd) was held back a year in KG before school due to his autism (we basically hoped it would bring him social and emotional maturity). He is very keen on numbers and my In laws and KG are keeping him occupied with 2-3rd grade School math.
We don't really have an option but mainstream state school now. My question is if anyone has experience? How did your kid manage? Is there anything i can do beforehand to make this easier for him? will his advanced knowledge of some subjects make him difficult to handle? like he will be bored in class? (I mean we could try to not teach him math yet but it's one of his special interest which is why I think would be really hard)
