So here I am wading in with my opinion that nobody asked for. So just for clarification. I have spent a lot of time with US inmates, both male and female. I had an internship with the Innocent project and the Washington Innocent Project. I have a law degree, which took me to New York to sit the bar because I had a huge interest in US criminal law. All of that said I no longer work in that field. It’s far too intense, heartbreaking and takes over your life.
But I do have an interest which leads me watching things like prison brides and other crime related TV. Which has led me to form some opinions and maybe try and give some advice to others who might want to go down the same route as some of these women who end up dating these US inmates.
Firstly, the websites that are used to connect inmates to people on the outside are there to make money, they are not there to help inmates, they’re there solely there for their own gain otherwise they would do it for free. Inmates are the most broke people on the planet. Often doing work for less than two dollars an hour. Which in my opinion is just modern day slavery, especially since these prisons are privatized. But that’s a whole other issue. These penpal websites are often set up like dating sites and as far as I’m aware, it is only write a prisoner that discloses what their crime is. Making these websites potentially dangerous because there are a lot a lot of dangerous men in prison who could potentially lie and do lie about what they’re in for.
Anyway, I have seen and heard about the scams and what goes on behind the scenes and unfortunately, European women are sort after by male inmates because they are easy targets. The lifestyle in the UK is nothing like the US. And the reason they go for European women is simply because the women that these men left behind no exactly what’s up. They can’t be scammed.
I’m going to list two examples of women I think got scammed. They will probably say different. But all the signs are there. Firstly is Gabby and Jamal. Jamal was 100% scamming Gaby. The whole story about how he’s innocent is simply not true. We forget these men have all the time in the world to convince people of their innocence. Try and get back into court, write books and just continue to double down and double down until they are believed. And if they have a European women in their corner, fighting their case, putting money on their phone buying them commissary they have a Kushti time in prison. They will marry them they will do and say anything to keep them. Because they are a lifeline.
I’ve seen on social media that Gabby and Jamal have broken up. I say it was probably Gabby‘s idea. She probably got bored of the whole routine, that happens a lot whether they admit it or not.
And now we have Jacqui and LA or Ladarius. These two are more a social media relationship than being on a TV show, but This relationship was a clear case of hold me down until I get out. I will tell you anything. I will write you anything as long as you are putting money on my phone, buying me commissary buying me clothes and stacking that cash for when I get out. You can absolutely guarantee that LA had other women writing to him putting money on his phone buying him commissary. I knew one man in Washington who had a wife who was an older lady He met while he was in prison. A baby mama who he intended to live with when he got out. A girlfriend in Seattle, a girlfriend in Nevada and a girlfriend in the UK. The girlfriend in Nevada was remortgaging her house to pay for his legal bills.
LA did the classic thing of coming out to Jacqui spending time with her until she had to go back to the UK and then moving on. This happens all the time and yet there is still a queue of girls lining up waiting to be used because that’s what it is.. these men don’t really have any real feeling for these girls. It is a means to an end.. I do know of a couple of relationships that have worked out, two actually. But these men were very different to the wannabe gangster lowlife ghetto men that are often on these penpal websites. And unfortunately Jacqui is attracted to. Or so she was saying in a live the other day. It’s very clear she wants to be some kind of hood rat. It’s not a great look for a 35-year-old mother from the UK. She should probably try and hold herself a little bit better. Not only did LA move on as soon as she left the country he killed someone and was charged with murder.
So the moral of the story is stay away from those inmates, they no good for your bank balance or self esteem.
