Trying to Help a Friend Experiencing Grief
Hi everyone! So my best friend in the entire world (who happens to be a massive Twenty One Pilots fan) is having to put her very beloved cat down tomorrow. She has had him since he was just a few weeks old, and he is now 13. He has helped her tremendously through some other losses that she has experienced, but he now has kidney disease and has stopped eating, so she knows that this is the best option since his quality of life has taken a major nosedive.
I wanted to do something in his memory for her and I found a place where I can have a tree planted in the US in a forest in need and decided that that was what I wanted to do to try to help honor his legacy of being a force of healing. The website that I found will send a post card to her to inform her of this and since Twenty One Pilots is her favorite band and has also been instrumental in her healing during times of difficulty and sorrow, I wanted to put a line or two from one of their songs as the message on the post card. While I am also a fan of the band, my knowledge of their music and lore is only slightly below surface level, so I am reaching out to the Clique (Click? Cliquies? Clickies? Sorry, I'm not 100% of the spelling of the fandom name) to ask for suggestions for lyrics that would work in this instance to help honor a memory and also call back to the band that has helped her through grief in the past.
