hi all! wondering if anyone has some advice, or insight. i fell in love with the 2:1 maxi dress and have sized down as i like the more fitted look (i find it more flattering) and have it in 2 colors.
when they released the 2:1 mini i JUMPED to purchase, i had seen the skirt photographed with the butter cream baby tee and had been waiting for something similar to drop. i was genuinely pretty disappointed when i received it and realized how short it was. i’m 5’6 and don’t have a particularly long torso, but it was so short on me? usually i dont mind the mini skirts from lulu because the built in shorts give me confidence to not flash any unfortunate strangers. but this has no shorts and with the bubble design the “bottom hem” that clings to your body lands on my cheek rather than under :(
i ordered 2 (one in ivory one in black) both in a size large, and just ordered an XL in black hoping it will be a tinge longer. its just a bit unfortunate as the reason i sized down is because its more flattering (and im losing weight and starting to teeter into L/10’s) and i think i may lose the tightness in the bust that is supportive and snatching. I wanted to give a longer review than Lulu will allow in their site but attached are photos of the Maxi in Large (in Butter Cream) and the Mini in Large (in Ivory and Black).
Has anyone found luck with sizing up for length on this item? The site doesn’t mention the length of the dress in total so i’m not even sure the XL will be “longer” :(
