Pretty new to painting minis.
Using Vallejo and a homemade wet palette(wet towel, paper towel, parchment paper)

Having a a hard time trying to get that smooth finish on the coat.
Primed black.
This is the second coat of red and canoness that I think has similar problems but I pushed forward.

I can’t tell if I’m thinning my paints too much or maybe a bigger/better brush?(length a little less than 10mm)
Also more practice is needed for sure.

I appreciate any advice.
