I feel prompted to post this due to the 285 lane closure and the complaints I'm seeing online about it. I'm a project manager for the GDOT Department of Transportation and manage roadway safety projects all over the state. Roundabouts, lane adjustments, raised medians, signals - those sort of projects.

When someone mentions the DOT, it's usually negative and while I do agree with some of the complaints, I think there's a large disconnect between public perception & how our processes work.

I'm using this as an opportunity to connect with the public. As long as it's not answering project specific questions, naming names, or answering questions outside of project delivery, I think I'd be able to answer most questions. Feel free to ask.
