Nervous about symptoms
Tingling started about 3 months ago in a spot in my mid back, nowhere else. Then moved into my legs and ultimately I’ve felt sensations everywhere. Scalp, neck, arms, legs. I believe it’s the worst in my legs, where I feel tingling often everyday. Twitching started later, but isn’t as bad and comes and goes in completely random spots around the body. Had a full work up MRI done around 4/10/26 w and wo contrast. EMG around 3/23/26. Both have come back clear, but still have been experiencing symptoms to this day.
What has been on my mind the most is recently I feel like I’m able to flex my calves in a way I couldn’t before, and I do receive a lot of tingling there, and it’s sort of like and indented flex that goes inwards, and it’s been worrying me about possible muscle atrophy. Legs look similar at rest, and same when flexed (according to my gf). I’ve been able to run and lift weights (started lifting back up about a week ago after taking a break), but I just feel like my legs have been feeling more exhausted or lighter or something. Haven’t had any clinical weakness at all to speak of. Literally have had almost all related bloodwork done and has come back clean. Obviously anxious about ALS ( although I’ve read it’s easy to get ahead of yourself so I know it’s unlikely). But just need some reassurance from people who have had similar experiences haha.
Also noticed drinking kind of activates my symptoms a little bit, but it’s hard being a college student and not going out with friends lol. I’ve kept it to a minimum recently but even one night during the week seems to make my sensations reignite. Same with nicotine, and even caffeine, so I’ve been trying to limit those as well. Leave some comments on what you guys think, would be much appreciated for the mental wellbeing haha.
