26, work in finance. Considered med path in high school but was burnt out and ended up in finance. Had done shadowing/ volunteering in high school along with classes like AP Bio, but went all in in on finance college and haven’t done much since. Work 80-100 hr weeks in current job.
Since being in finance I have had some health issues lending to exposure to healthcare and gotten to chat with friends that are in medicine. I have since realized it is much more intellectually interesting to me, and would be more fulfilling as a career.
Went to a top 30 undergrad and graduated with a 3.86 gpa with a finance/ economics double major. 35 on the ACT & 8 AP exams with 5s (including calc and bio) Obviously not relevant at 26. Thinking a 1-2 year post bacc may be my best option? Not sure how to think about clinical hours and how they would factor in.
