I didn't know it was possible to love a show so much but now I know. this masterpiece was the first anime I ever watched and the only things I had heard about it was that it was a evangelion clone but its so much more than that. its a show about relationships and being human. like at the start of the show zero two wants to become human by any means necessary but i would argue that shes more human than the pilots. zero two has knowledge of intimacy and longing but the pilots are sheltered and kept in the dark. and the relationship they build then breaks tgen rebuild has always stuck with me.
this isn't a story about girls in tight suits and robots fighting monsters its a story about love and relationship. a story about two characters that have ro lean on each other to be able to fly
