Iron mark on my student accommodation desk. what’s the likely outcome?

Moving out soon and i’m very stressed 😭 this happened when my friend was using the iron provided by student accommodation. She put it on the desk standing and then the iron fell on the desk whilst hot. It happened a couple months ago, but now I’m wondering how much this damage will incur, as I’m aware it doesn’t fall under ‘wear and tear’ . is it likely they’ll replace the entire desk? To be honest, the desk already had loads of stains when I first got there, but nothing as large as this
