Hello. Am I right to be concerned about the workmanship?

Google AI says this is bad (not close to professional standards) because I indicated the "black part" seems to only be about 1/8 to 3/16" thick. But I don't really trust AI. Am I misinterpreting something here about the asphalt layer? Wanna make sure I'm semi informed before I call the company that did a full replacement of my driveway ~2.5 years ago.

Contract promised:

Driveway R&R Asphalt

Remove existing asphalt and haul away.

Add up to 2" of CA-6 stone, as necessary for a 6" base.

Shoot grades with laser level and fine grade for water drainage.

Compact thoroughly with vibratory roller.

Pave with 3" of N50 bituminous surface and compact.

Pavement will be thoroughly compacted with a 5 ton vibratory roller and finish roller.

Exposed edges will be hand tamped at a 45 degree angle.
