I wanted to try a very little batch (0.5-1 liter) with no equipment, and with what I had at the house at the moment, just to see if it's going to start fermenting, to see if some fruit would be enough to keep yeast fed against sulfur smell, to see if it's going to get contaminated...

I don't remember the ratios of ingredients I used, but aside from water and honey it had, plums, apples, a little raisin, and some sugar. Oh and I used just regular baker's yeast from the mall.

I have transferred it with a little syringe (in the 3rd picture ehehe) into the glass. It smelled kinda nice (flowery a little), but tasted bad, I'd say :') I can even say that the taste was similar to soap or detergent, as if it had small amounts of it inside. BUT it is not the worst alcoholic thing I've drunk, I think it was drinkable... mostly :) soo... I take it as a mini-win lol, it made me happy.

In 3rd, 4th, and 5th photo you can see what it is like now in the jar with the gunk at the bottom. And the last photo (it is from 9th of August 2025) shows how it was looking like at the end of the first month after I had taken off the fruits. At that time it smelled mostly like yeast IIRC.
