Sorry in advance if this is a redundant question!

I was diagnosed with SIBO by my GI at the end of February. I was prescribed antibiotics (not Rifamixin because my insurance didn’t cover, but an alternative). It was hard on my stomach but my symptoms of bloating, pain, gas, and alternating constipation/diarrhea went away. It lasted a few weeks but since has come back, despite adhering to a low FODMAP diet and being active.

I got a CT scan as my GI directed, and nothing was detected. I know SIBO is likely to be recurrent, and I don’t want to try antibiotics again so soon. I’m seeing mixed answers here about Berberine—has anyone with diagnosed methane dominant SIBO had any luck? If so, what was your actual supplement regimen?

(I have reached out to my GI about it, too, waiting on an answer. but I know that legally since it’s not FDA approved he might be wary to suggest it.)
