PC performance lowers significantly after switching games on steam
Starting about a week ago whenever I switch games on Steam, I lose a massive amount of performance, we are talking microstutters and 50% FPS loss on games that should run with no issue. It doesn't matter what game I choose it will always run worse and it only happens after I switch off of the first game I'm playing. For example last night I was playing helldivers 2, and I get off of it and switch to Everything is Crab. Helldivers 2 runs great 120 FPS and Everything is Crab is a stuttering mess running sub 60 FPS. The most baffling part is this doesn't happen with non-steam games, I play a lot of League of Legends and it has not been effected at all. My rig is running on Windows 10 with an AMD 9070XT, 32 GBs of RAM, I'm not home right now and don't remember my CPU so I will post that later. I'm at my wits end with this problem I have tried everything I know to do. Thermals are fine, SSDs, RAM, and GPU are all good, I have reinstalled steam, updated drivers, disabled overlays and changed all kinds of windows settings, the whole 9 yards. Any help at all on what else I could do would be greatly appreciated.
