Found evidence of termites in a small coat closet that shares a wall with my water heater and washing machine- holes packed with mud and a mud tube sticking out. Called 3 companies that said the same thing, I have eastern subterranean termites, but they had different treatments. The first company said they will spot treat the closet and put in bait stations every 10 feet, plus general ant treatment for 199$ down and 80$ a month for 12 months, the 2nd said the same for more money. The 3rd said they would drill 2 holes through my foundation (and tile) next to the wall to treat the soil underneath the infested area, and dig a 3 inch trench around my house for 959$ up front with 145$ a year for optional warranty. Which would be the best treatment? I will be pretty hard pressed to come up with 1000$, up front, but if it's the absolute best way and worth it? Or will the bait stations be better?
