My mother just complained today that she has a swelling in her leg, it's painful, inflated, the swollen part is red and the skin is light blue around it (front side, bellow the knee) and I told her to get checked out. They told her it's a superficial thrombosis and perscriped 10 injections (1 per day) and a cream for the bump. As I am a bit worried, should she do anything else? How can we make sure it's a superficial one and not a DVT? Also she works standing the whole day (almost never sits down), the work is quite heavy as well and they told her that she can keep going to work, is that true? Any advices, things that we need to do or get checked? Thanks in advance!
