How should I get more into fantasy and sci-fi?

I'm an 18 year old reader and writer who's trying to expand his taste and knowledge of different books, styles, authors and genres. I've already started with sci-fi by reading some Isaac Asimov and Ursula K LeGuin, who I love both of, but I'd still like to hear input from people here about where I should look next. As for fantasy, it's my biggest genre blind spot. The last time I read a fantasy book was Percy Jackson in middle school (which did absolutely slap to be fair.) For some general information on what I enjoy, I love political fiction (my favorite parts of 1984 were the ones focused on the ideology and geopolitics of that world,) prose is important to me (my favorite book is Lolita,) and I love how fictional worlds can act as revealing parallels to our own. Asimov's The Last Question is my favorite short story I've ever read and I adore The Ones Who Walk Away From Omelas, but I definitely want to look towards longer works instead of short stories which are much more in my comfort zone. I did read The Disposessed and liked it a lot. I also love star wars too if that helps lol. Thanks to anyone who has recommendations!!
