Ladies and Gentlemen, Robin’s reign of terror has ended !
With the new update, the team released a letter with very welcome honesty about the game’s future.
tl/dr : they know they fucked up and they want to do as best they can in the future. However, since their team is much smaller than it used to be, they will not be able to deliver as much content (scale wise) anymore.
Still, there are two very important things they noted :
- First, they noted that they want to continuously develop (and release) new stories, whether Main stories, Short stories or Hero stories, regarding what I said earlier, those stories might have a smaller scope, but the idea for them is to always have something in the works even if it takes a bit of time to be delivered.
- And second, as the title suggested, we got a new director. It’s the 4th director if I remember correctly, this guy’s honesty is very welcome and we can only wish that he will make GT feel and be a fantastic game again. I won’t dwell on Robin’s long list of bad content, but we can hope that Tales of Tetis will be shelved and that some more dead content will be cleaned up to make room for interesting stuff.
Let’s rejoice Guardians, the future might not be filled with rainbow and unicorns, but it sure as hell is brighter than two months ago !
