CDS granted me a cat

Let me preface by saying I love cats, but have never owned one. We just lost 2 of our dogs in under 1 year, and I guess the universe decided I needed a cat this go around. Vet appointments have been made, this little dude/girl was under my porch this morning and strikingly similar to a stray that lives nearby (Daisy).

I bought a litter box, some food (wet + dry) and now Im just staring at this tiny alien thing without a clue in the world.

How do I play with it? Should I put it in my room at night? How often do they sleep?

(Also, google doesnt not warn you about the CLAWS!)

Has anyone switched from Zoloft to Lexapro because of severe restlessness/“buzzing” feelings?

I’ve been on Zoloft about 2 months and I’m likely switching to Lexapro because I can’t tolerate this side effect. The best way I can describe it is my body feels like it’s buzzing or full of TV static. It’s not just anxiety in my thoughts, it feels physical.

I’ll wake up around 2–3 a.m. with this awful restless feeling and can’t go back to sleep because it’s physically uncomfortable to lie still. It almost feels like internal agitation.

What worries me is this has happened to me on multiple meds now: Buspirone, Celexa, and now Zoloft. It makes me wonder if others have experienced this and whether Lexapro was any different.

Did anyone have this kind of “inner restlessness” on one SSRI and do better on Lexapro? Did it go away with time, or was switching the right move?

Would love to hear others’ experiences.
