Three Gilded Age actors and beloved stage veterans have been nominated for Tony Awards in the 2025-2026 season, two in the same category of Leading Actress in a Play.
Kelli O'Hara now holds a record for the most consistently-nominated performer in Tony history. She has a nine-nomination streak, continuing this season with her role as Julia Sterroll in Fallen Angels. She previously won for The King and I (2015) -- a role for which Gilded Age co-star Donna Murphy also won in 1996.
Carrie Coon is now a two-time Tony nominee. She starred in MTC's winter production of Bug as Agnes White. Her first nomination was for Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf (2013), which she co-starred alongside her now-husband, Tracy Letts.
Nathan Lane's seventh nomination is for his role as Willy Loman in Death of a Salesman, the most revived play on Broadway. He has previously won for A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum (1996), The Producers (2001), and Angels in America (2018).
Congratulations to all.
