In need of advice on challenges with Rover availability and booking
Hi folks. I'm new to this subreddit but not new to Rover. We have been trying to get a routine sitter (or even a healthy rotation) for our dog, but I have been getting frustrated by the app showing someone as available on a date only for them to say they are not actually available or that they are only holding the day for certain types of bookings. This weekend alone, I've run into this for about six different sitters.
I feel like I try to be forward about what I need and filter accordingly, but I keep running into dead ends. I'm not sure if this is just the way it is on Rover or if I'm just having bad luck, but it feels like bad practice either on part of the Rovers or just a big limitation within the app to filter for specific needs or preferences like that.
I'm sorry if this topic has come up before, but I welcome advice on how to navigate this or how to better approach requests? If there's something I am not considering or doing, I would be glad to know.
