I was recently added to moderate a fairly active fitness related subreddit which has been active for 10+ years.

The owner of the subreddit selected a few of us to assist with the control over the sub as I presume he doesn't have much time and wanted help.

Well today a member of the subreddit posted that his account (the owner) has been banned. This obviously made me nervous as I have been messing around with the tools, but there's no way I deleted the owner of the subreddit. What's weirder is his handle appears [deleted] when I open up our chat messages when I interviewed.

To add on to the weirdness, the post about the owner from one of our redditors mentioned above was removed by the owner... which further adds to the confusion.

I'm not sure what's going on here and just wanted to know if this is a bug, or if something bigger is going on.

For some additional context, he is not appearing on banned users on my end.

There is currently an issue with KB Reddit account. I have shot him a message on the main site to figure out what exactly is going on and will keep you all updated.

While the main site forum isn't nearly as active as this subreddit, that will be a reliable venue to receive TB III updates from the man himself until his account is restored. You can find the link here

KB has been shadow banned and has submitted an appeal. Bar any unusual circumstances, he should be getting his account back within the next few days. I'll keep this post up for the time being.
