I saw a posting here the other day about Agata and Valentina which makes me ask about the main food markets. (I'm only discussing the 80s but feel free to add in other UES stores further down).

I'd say when that 86th St building renovated B&N and Circuit City and Fairway moved in, at first it came across as "elite" as Agata but then ownership changed and it's just not the same. Whole Foods has more health food products, but the lines... Basically you go to each store for different things. ie. one is better for buying meat, another is better for fruits and vegetables etc. Any comments?
