Introvert (35M) moving to Dunedin soon, keen to meet new people

I'm moving to Dunedin from Hamilton in a few weeks and, as the title says, looking to make friends. I'm generally a pretty introverted person these days. I still have a few close friends, but over the years we've all ended up in different countries/cities. I used to be pretty outgoing, play sports, go for drinks etc, but I don't really do much of that anymore. Just kind of stopped for no real reason.
I work in education, been married 10 years, no kids. Recently reconnected more with my culture and started learning te reo Māori (5+ years into that haerenga now). I read a lot and play video games (mostly fantasy/RPG stuff). Used to play rugby and squash, but too many shoulder injuries cut that out! Still watch the Warriors though.
Recently got into DND (after BG3) with my wife and some of her friends before relocating and actually really enjoyed it. Also a big nerd for space, especially the moon. Basically I'm just trying to build some healthier habits, get out of my comfort zone a bit, and make some in-person friends. Even making this post is a bit out there for me.
