What would you make this sapphire earring into?
I inherited one large sapphire earring from my grandmother. It was part of an impressive set that included a matching earring that went to my sister-in-law, and an even larger ring that my older sister inherited.
I have an appointment with my jeweler to discuss what to make this earring into so that I can wear it as either a pendant or ring.
I wear at least three rings daily, including my wedding ring, but this sapphire is larger than my engagement diamond and unless I wear it as an alternative wedding ring on some days it seems strange to have a ring that is larger than my original wedding stone.
I like the idea of a pendant, maybe even set east-west on a chain?
Would you keep the diamonds around or have it set in a more modern, even bezel, setting?
Or is a ring the obvious choice?
