Getting a 2016 Honda Amaze for ₹2.5L with just 15k km… too good to be true or a steal?

I need some honest opinions before I finalize this deal.

I’m getting a 2016 Honda Amaze (1.2 i-VTEC, base model) for ₹2.5 lakh, and the car has only 15,000–16,000 km driven.

Now here’s where it gets interesting…

The car wasn’t used like a typical personal vehicle. It belonged to a hospital and was mainly used for VIP movements — like picking up doctors from the airport or dropping them home. So most of the time, it was just parked.

I even got a detailed vehicle report done (spent ₹470 on it 😅), and here’s what I found:

•	No accidents reported

•	No engine or transmission issues

•	No odometer tampering

•	Last recorded service shows around 12k km

•	BUT… service history is irregular (long idle periods)

Mechanic checked it and said it’s in good condition overall. Only a minor bearing issue (~₹500 fix).

Now the big catch:

The RC is in the name of the previous director (second owner), who is no longer working there. The current person selling it (third director) says:

“Don’t worry, my agent will handle the RC transfer, even without OTP from the previous owner.”

That part honestly makes me a bit uncomfortable.

My situation:

•	This will be my first car

•	I’m emotionally attached to the idea (not gonna lie 😅)

•	Budget-wise, it feels like a great deal

•	But I don’t want to make a stupid mistake

So my questions:

1.	Is this actually a good deal or am I being blinded by low price + low km?

2.	How risky is this RC transfer situation realistically?

3.	Should I go ahead or walk away?

I’d really appreciate honest opinions — even brutal ones.

I’d rather feel bad now than regret later.
