And the volume is …
Imagine Tinnitus.
Imagine it a little bit louder.
Now imagine it even louder than that.
Louder!
LOUDER!!!
Come on! You can imagine it even louder.
Now, you double that. And voila, this is the volume of my Tinnitus.

Anyone else struggle to describe their tinnitus?
I’ve had tinnitus for 3 years now, and it has progressively gotten worse. Not by adding any new sounds, but by the sheer volume. It just keeps getting louder and louder. It’s 80 Decibel now.
You’d think that after living with this nightmare for 3 years, I’d at least be able to explain what it sounds like. But honestly, I can’t.
The closest description I can give is something like this:
A very high-pitched, screaming broadband noise that constantly fluctuates a little — it’s not really a pure tone at all.
That’s the closest I can get. Still it feels pretty far from an fully accurate description.
I sometimes wake up in the middle of the night, after an intense dreaming session, and my Tinnitus gets significantly louder for a good while.
Anyone else with the same experience?
Why is it called night blindness? It’s stupid.
It’s fucking blindness during the day also, on black/dark areas.
People thinking I only have issues during the night when I say I have night blindness. 😤
