Hi guys. I got in my first accident today and could use some help on what to do next. Here is some additional help and context:
I have footage of the accident from all the cameras.
I have footage from Meta Glasses of the other party admitting fault.
I filled a claim with my insurance not knowing I should have filled with the other parties. I filled with the other party and let my insurance know, they said the adjuster would figure it out and it's not a big deal.
My insurance told me not to tow the car or talk to a repair shop until the adjuster spoke with me.
The car is not drivable. I drove it from the accident scene to my home (about 3 minute drive) at a very low speed, but the car 100% should not be driven in the state it is in.
So, the question I have is.. do I wait for the adjuster to contact me before submitting service for collision through the Tesla app? Do I reach out to the dealership I got the car from or the Tesla collision center closer to me? Did I royally mess up submitting a claim with my own and the other parties insurance? If so, how to proceed?
Lastly, would Tesla tow and/or give me a loaner during this process? I have a couple days to figure this out before needing to get back to work. Any help, direction, or advice would be appreciated!
