Breaking lease
I am an international student who has been renting in Australia for the past 3 years, and mostly pay my rent on time. However, my parents are in deep trouble with their finances, and haven’t sent me a single dollar to pay for rent. Therefore, I used my credit card hoping that they are able to send the money later, but it has been close to 3 months and still nothing. This has messed up my mental health so badly that I think the only option is break this lease and go back home. The problem is I have only signed this lease only a few months ago. In this case, will this blacklist me from the rental market if I were to return to Australia in the future?
I also don’t think I am able to pay the next month rent + any extra fees as I am completely broke and my credit card is maxed out. What can I do in this case to avoid serious trouble with my current landlord and agent.
