i was already late for a really important exam, i kept looking around for nearby parking spots until i finally saw an empty one. beside it was a huge car. from a quick glance it looked shiny and clean. but i didn’t look at it close enough to tell if there was preexisting damage. i tried to park, but i miscalculated the distance from my car to theirs. i felt the impact and i stopped immediately. i backed up and saw that there was something there. it was like a skid/scrape. i wasn’t sure what to do, i was panicking because of the exam and this was my first time in an accident like this (new driver). i thought about whether i should leave a note or not. but i parked far from any buildings, i didn’t have any paper on me, and i really didn’t want to be late to my class. it was a really important course and my grade was already on the verge of failing. i ended up parking somewhere else. after the class, i got in my car. i drove around the parking lot for a bit to look for the car in hopes i could maybe try to do something, and i noticed it was gone. i then drove someplace else to check on my own car. my car is old so it already has flaws from its previous owners. but i noticed there were scratches. i wiped it and it looked like paint from the other car. the scratches went away after i wiped it some more. i’m not sure how much i damaged the car but i know for sure there weren’t any dents. the marks i saw on the other car didn’t look like the color of my car, it looked brown like dust, so i’m not completely sure if it came from me either. i don’t know if anyone saw, or if there were cameras around. i don’t know. i was scared. i’m confessing because i feel so guilty. i’m not even 100% sure if it was from me but i still feel so so guilty knowing that it most likely was. i regret it so much because i know i could’ve handled that way better.
