Should the show expand on Ron and Hermione's romance?

Especially since we don't get to see much of their dynamic beyond Harry's perspective. It seems to be fair to see how they feel for each other, especially Hermione. It would make their relationship dynamic more nuanced when we get to see their silent treatments in HBP and DH.

I won't mind if we get a few scenes to themselves alone, especially like as prefects in OoTP or at Shell cottage.

Especially in Goblet of Fire and Half-Blood Prince.

In the Triwizard maze round, in the scene where Cedric is caught by the vines and starts yelling for Harry, Harry briefly pauses for a moment contemplating whether he should save Cedric or take the cup for himself.

Book!HARRY would never do something like that. He immediately rushed to Cedric's aid rather than buffering.

Another scene where Harry was kinda off is when he uses the Sectumsempra spell on Malfoy. In the book, Harry realises in horror what he'd done and profusely apologises to a dying Malfoy (while wishing he better not die).

In the film however, he stands like a Sims NPC. Also don't me started on how Harry acts the same when Snape kills Dumbledore at the Astronomy tower. Book!Harry went absolutely ballistic on Snape afterwards.

Any moments where you think the movies dropped the ball on Harry's character?

It grinds me how little effort they put into establishing Hinny in the films. In a deleted scene for HBP, they have the gall to have Hermione prod Ginny up. As if Harry internally doesn't know Ginny is comfort enough. And don't get me started on the ending scene where Hermione is the one to tell Harry that Ron's okay with his relationship.

And I dislike how the dance scene in DHP1 is a misrepresentation of who Harry is, as well as his feelings for Ginny during the camping trip of doom. (See Daniel's comments in Image #2). We could have had Harry longing for Ginny during his Marauder's Map escapades.

But no the films couldn't do that because apparently Hermione was the main lead who couldn't let others overtake her importance to Harry. Smh.
