Just a quick update and query really. I was diagnosed with unprovoked sub massive pulmonary embolism and secondary pulmonary infarctions on 2nd April 2026.

I just wondered how much information people were actually told by doctors?

I feel like I know nothing and Google only adds to my stress levels.

I did speak to a GP (to get a surgical referral, as the hospital also found gallstones when I was in and didn't tell me...I only noticed on discharge paperwork added to my NHS app account), who said I should not have gone back to work, so I got a sick note for 4 weeks last Thursday, which can be extended if required.

But I just feel like every ache and pain is increasing my anxiety, I struggle to sleep as I'm scared I won't wake up, I feel like im getting a cold/hayfever and do I need to worry? I am a little overweight and don't generally cope well with the heat, so my breathing can be affected...do I need to call my GP?? I had a shower earlier and couldn't cope, my heart rate was crazy...

Sorry for the rant 😅
