I live in a house that had a few extensions added prior to us moving in plus a pond. Recently we have had decking installed in the garden and are getting some concrete put down at the back of the garden.
I've recently read that you can only have 50% of your land 'developed', and decking counts as development (And if decking does, so does concrete).
We've already had the work completed and I am filling out the planning application now; there's a tick box asking whether the work has already started and been completed. Am I best off being honest and hoping they see this as a genuine oversight? I never knew decking was a development and neither did multiple people we contracted to do this. Not an excuse, I am just hoping they take pity and I don't have to pull it all up.
