So my upstairs neighbor has a constant 24/7 party. He is always playing bass boosted music unbelievably loud it’s insane. It never stops. All day. All night.

So over the past few months I’ve complained to my landlord countless times. I’ve sent him videos of it.
He texts him and tells him to turn it down every time, and that’s it.

Last time I complained he told me to just call the cops if it’s that involved and that there’s not much he can do but text him. Which obviously it’s involved if I’ve texted him thirty times and it’s completely bullshit that all he can do is text him because it states in everybody’s lease that
“neither tenant nor tenants licensees or invitees shall be a nuisance or act in any manner that would interfere with the quiet enjoyment by adjacent property owners.”

So anyway I haven’t been wanting to call the non emergency because I simply hate confrontation and do not want to cause any issues, but last night was my breaking point as I had to be up for work at 6 am and their music was loud enough to the point it was vibrating my ceiling and shaking shit off of my shelves.

So the non emergency line proceeds to tell me they don’t normally deal with noise complaints and that I should tell my landlord, to which I said I have numerous times and I have countless videos of the noise and also texts back and forth with my landlord. They said it’s a landlord based issue and that they’d try to send someone but noise complaints are absolutely last priority. Which of course, I understand

So now, I have no idea what to do. My landlord told me to just call the police because he claims there’s nothing he can do. Then the police tell me to deal with my landlord.
Basically, what I’m being told is that I’m pretty much just screwed if I continue living here and that it’s completely acceptable to psychologically torture your neighbor, right?
I can’t move at the moment so I’m not sure what to do. Should I just try to let it go or what?
