1996 SS - Need Mechanic Suggestions - North Carolina
I have a 1996 SLP SS Camaro with a manual transmission.
I'm located in North Carolina (Charlotte area) and I'm looking for a mechanic who is good with 4th Gen LT1 F-bodies.
Issues I'm having are oil pressure drops at idle after it runs for a while, rear main oil leak, AC and Heat don't work (compressor doesn't turn on for AC and heat barely blows out), the ABS light has recently come on after the battery died and the car had to be jumped off, and it occasionally pops out of 3rd gear.
I'm sure there are other things that need to be fixed. I bought the car knowing it needed some work.
This is my high school dream car and I'm willing to put the money into fixing it, but I need a good mechanic I can trust. I'm having trouble finding a good mechanic who works on the LT1 anymore. RPM Motor Sports in Raleigh was my go-to 15 years ago for a previous Camaro, but they don't work on LT1s anymore.
