Hello all,

I am a pet owner that goes away twice a year for about 6 weeks and 2 weeks.

I'm in the Washington DC area and I am considering joinig the service to find a reliable house/pet sitter.

My townhouse is well connected to public transportation and in normal traffic conditions it takes 15 minutes to reach Washington DC.

My two dogs are super friendly, but one is already 8 years old and needs potty brakes, more frequently.

Would it be reasonable to try to find someone that will NOT be 6-8 hours gone from the house each day? I'm sure my older dog would be fine up to 6 hours without a pee break, but after that it could become challenging.

The sitter would have to walk them 3 times a day, and take them just outside the house for a quick pee break before bedtime, feed them twice a day, make sure they have always water to drink, water the plants once a week and just respect our house by not bringing guests and just keep it tidy. We are by no means, clean freaks.

Thoughts? I don't want to waste my money if those already using the service belive this is not doable or appealing to the sitters.

Thanks!
