Now I just want to say people will hate, people will shit on me but yall gotta understand I am no English Expert with typing/writing or anything like that. These photos will get trashed on because in all honesty yes, I didn’t do that well now that I look at it BUT I can tell you that something was written and my prof told me don’t worry about failing. I know no one is perfect with writing and I fall into that category. Everyone started somewhere with there journey of getting better with this and I’m still at the bottom. If I was going for an English major maybe my writing wouldn’t cross the line but I’m not going for that. This gen ed was just to get credits but turned out worse then I thought and should have went with another gen ed to pass off on this LIT requirement.

Onwards to the photos. This is my opinion and words and you guys can offer tips I could have used and tell me some advice. I will read the comments that say negative but I understand. I could be so much better and that you guys were right on some of what you’ll see in the photos.

Performance and Effort are two different things from a comment I saw though both were high for me while taking this exam. (Opinion). Reading over what I wrote did get some point on the paper but didn’t explain well enough. Which is a tendency of me apparently but it’s alright. While I could have done way better this is what i threw into it. From the comments provided I could have had better quotes, I could have taken better notes from what the prof told us about each story and I could have done better with reading the stories until I understood them. It comes down to what I could have done vs what I did which was not perform well with writing more to explain what i wanted to show off. Some details could have been explained better and could have went more into depth to answer the questions better. While I got some answer down it wasn’t all but definitely could have added more to get 10/10. While 6/10 isn’t great its better then 0. Most questions ranged from 5-8 points and earned me a 34/60 (57%). While this grade could have been better and closer to a D or C it’s not.

While I don’t have questions to provide you can probably get something together with the way I started some of these answers to the photos I provide. One is about epiphany, one is about pathetic fallacy which I don’t know the exact question but relates to that. One is also about theme which was given to us and needed to explain how it relates I believe.

The thing I’m happy about is my teacher saying “You will not fail the course.” This shows that I might have a chance of getting the 3 credits for this class and moving on.

Thank you all for the support and worst case if I still don’t like my grade I will grade appeal but might end up with a D which I will take. Once again no one is perfect at anything. We are all humans with different strengths and weaknesses. One could be better at this than me or I could be better at this than someone else.

This all is just a part of the learning process and I will hopefully only get better from here. Most people have years of experience rather than me I don’t have as much writing experience. Not that I don’t I’m not an A++++++ student with writing. Some of you out there do. I know I should have basic stuff known but definitely haven’t had enough writing experience back from high school until now so this is all different/newer to me.

Enough rant. I’ll read all the comments and respond to all that I can but this is it. Thanks again and out till next time 👍

Thank you all for the attention on my post and giving me suggestions on what to do.

This isn’t the update but a note.

After I posted that photo of my grade, my professor emailed me and offered to mail the exam booklet to me.
Once I receive the exam I’ll look through it and see what happened and if it’s unjustified for all the time I put into it to get an F in return.

When I do make a call on if I did earn the grade or not I’ll make an update post but until then thank you again.

I was reading through other posts and was not expecting my post to be the one to get attention like it did but very appreciated on all the fellow students, professors or others who added there words on steps. Definitely got a lot of advice from everyone and tried my best to read all and respond to ones I could!

Contact the chair of the department is my biggest help I got and will definitely reach out if this professor graded my exam poorly.
Another comment I saw was to do a grade appeal and have steps to get it done as soon as I receive the exam in the mail (hopefully soon).

Once again I look forward to providing all with an updated response on what caused this grade & if it’s the grade I feel I earned or not after reviewing comments made.

The photo I provided is the list of what fellow students in my class ended up earning. 1 person earned an A and 4 others earned an F with me (technically 5)

Had this class for spring semester and put my best work in and still got B and C for the short quizzes we did. Anyways come to the end of the semester we have our final (yesterday) and our professor graded it. I wrote nice, answered the questions right, skipped lines, wrote numbers for all the questions I answered and it was 6 questions out of 10 given to us. It was open notes, books and dictionary but yet still got an F. The professor is very un digital and it Stone Age time to paper and pen and not wanting to give feedback over phone unless in person. Well only hope for the best when the mail comes and that when the final grade is put in I somehow get a c- to pass the class. I need some cheer up cuz I feel super stupid atm and super down cuz of this. Not sure what could of gone wrong and keep running possibilities in my head
