First post here, hope this is the right place to ask. A student I'm helping is writing a paper on the 4 Color Theorem and asked me to help explain the proof to them. They don't have much experience with formal proofs yet. What is the simplest way you would explain it? Any analogies or resources that worked for you would be great.
