I have a probably dumb question, so bear with me — I’m not super tech-savvy.
I’m trying to understand how the new Steam Controller would work compared to the Steam Deck.
On my Steam Deck, if I launch PCSX2 through EmuDeck (so through Steam), everything works fine. Even when I open PCSX2 from desktop mode, the controls usually still kinda work or can be set up.
But what I’m not sure about is this:
If I had a Steam Machine and used the new Steam Controller, would PCSX2 still recognize the controller if I launch it outside of Steam? Or would it only work properly when launched through Steam because of Steam Input?
Basically:
Is there a real difference between Steam Deck controls and a Steam Controller in terms of system-level support?
Sorry if this is obvious — just trying to wrap my head around it before buying anything.
