There's nothing I love more than relaxing in a park on a beautiful day and reading my book or hanging out with my pals. You know what spoils that? Smoke and ash from a bbq (or several normally). Not only does it stink, it covers the park in ash, and its also how fires start on Arthur's Seat. I get it, its lush to have a bbq in the park in the sun. But at the very least, pick a big park with loads of room like Holyrood Park?? The amount of people bbqing in Montgomery St Park is crazy. Its such a small space that you cannot escape the smoke and smell! People are also incredibly irresponsible. Summer equals burn marks all over the grass because people don't know how to dispose of temporary bbqs or coal properly.
Surely I'm not the only person irritated by this? If I am then I'll relax. But I doubt i am.
