Ed Financial Forbearance on Auto-Recertification.

I'm getting hit with my first income recertification since like 2019. Ed Financial seems to have unilaterally decided to give me a month of forbearance for June.

It's funny because I look at the auto-recertify paperwork that was submitted to studentaid.gov and the box for forbearance is not checked. Also the payment doesn't change until October so I don't know what good June would do anyone.

I don't know if it's actually an admin one that would have counted towards payments or not but I called them up and asked them to take it off. I'm due for PSLF in August so I'm really trying to make every payment count.

My second EF BS I'm dealing with is the letter they just put into my account says I start at what looks like the full repayment amount in October not the PAYE amount I should be getting. Hopefully I start PSLF before then and it's not an issue.

Of course I ALSO have a PSLF buyback that has what a 2 year backlog now? Even if I make my last payment in August I won't have this off the books for who knows how long.

TLDR: Check that they didn't put you on an unneeded forbearance during auto-recertification.

I just got back from the grocery store. They had ribeye steak in the manager's markdown section for 30% off. This is the stuff that's a day away from going bad and they have to throw it away.

So I went and looked at a fresh one to see how much they actually cost. $27 a pound! That's more than I make an hour!

I guess a raw steak isn't for the working class anymore. It was like a scene out of Soylent Green.
