Long time listener, first time caller of sorts. I have been incredibly fatigued my entire life and recently it seems to be getting worse.. I started researching about body aches after mild activity and ME/CFS came up. My entire life made sense. Like I had been constantly plugging in puzzle pieces that soooort of fit and then this one just clicked. I have seen specialists for most of my life to work through things like gastro issues, OBGYN items, and chronic depression/anxiety/the gambit. I’ve been tested for a multitude of things amongst my time and really haven’t made any breakthroughs. I’m at the point where I’m so frustrated and angry with my situation and all the lifelong shame from family that I need to find a solution or to finally be given permission to rest from a medical professional.

With this being said, I need some advice on where to start and who to talk to to begin this medical journey. My PCP is just three specialists in a trench coat, I don’t really have a home base. Should I start with one of my current doctors I see to get a referral? Should I start with obtaining primary care and go from there? I live in a small city in the midwest and the time to see a doctor is unfortunately in the 8+ weeks timeframe. I may have a better chance driving to a larger city ~2 hours away but I think that would do more harm than good for my health right now.. Any advice would help tremendously!
