So I'm spoiled* and I'm getting a big ole business trip- I'm in Madison Wisconsin, and I really feel the need to shout out their bus system and bike lanes. I'm not expensing a rental car that I'm allowed to, because I don't need it.
In LA, we have absolutely fantastic weather, if occasionally hot, and we have parts of LA and the county that are as good or better than what I'm seeing here, but given that the entire state of Wisconsin has 60% of our population in LA County, and Madison is approximately twice the size of Pasadena (give or take), we really should be able to do better/more.
In summary, LA City people, I'm definitely hoping you go for Nithya Raman after Bass' K line NIMBY debacling. Also, I'm drunk so cut me some slack.
*but not- anyone who tells you going on a business trip is great and doesn't miss their family is kidding or deluding someone- possibly themselves)
