If this experiement where to be carried out in the real world, there are two possibilities for it's outcome. Either a red or a blue majority, thats just how it is, no one can change it, you just don't know it beforehand. (For the smartasses, yes there is a third outcome where it'll be no majority or very close but that's very very unlikely.)

Here's what each outcome would mean:

1. Red majority

Voting blue would kill you.

Voting red is the only way to survive. (Right choice)

2. Blue majority

Voting red wouldn't do anything as the blue is the majority nonetheless, so no guilt or anything in pressing red, you survive. (Right choice, not harming anyone)

Voting blue means you survive.

So that means either I'm pressing red because blue would have literally killed me (right choice) or I'm pressing red and not doing any harm as there is a clear blue majority (also right choice).

As an individual choice this is the only right one (pressing red) and theres no prior discussing/ agreements so an individual choice is your only option.
